Dietitian FAQs

Are dietician services covered by private insurance?

Most extended health insurance programs cover appointments with a Registered Dietitian, so take advantage of your benefits to maintain optimal health in the comfort of your own home.

Every receipt includes the practitioner's provincial registration number, so you can confidently submit a claim through your private insurance plan for your appointments.

Having said that, every insurance plan is different.  We suggest that you contact your insurance company to confirm coverage.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a dietitian?

We do not require a doctor’s referral, however your insurance company may require one to be reimbursed.  We suggest speaking to them first to confirm.
