What is it?

Overlapping toes occurs when one toe rests on another toe beside it. It can occur with any of the toes. Symptoms of overlapping toes can include: pain, inflammation, toe calluses and corns and the symptoms can worsen if left untreated.

What is the Cause?

Some causes include: improperly fitting footwear, genetics, bunions and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Recommended Treatment

There are numerous ways to treat overlapping toes. Properly fitting shoes, bunion treatments, toe separators, splints or even surgery are possible options. The best course of treatment can be determined after consulting with a Chiropodist or Podiatrist.
